Movie and Spa Night

It all begins with an idea.

Spending time with sisters is a great way to take a step back from a stressful semester. This girl's night was a blast filled with face masks, yummy sweets, and snuggles. We watched How To Lose A Guy In Ten Days! We did not want the night to ever come to an end.

Galentine’s Sisterhood

For Valentine’s Day this year, we had a Galentine’s event. Sisters Caroline Bentley and Liz Wallin were able to plan a fun event where sisters wrote encouraging notes, had delicious dessert items, and spent lots of time together. Overall, this was such an amazing event to show our love for one another and celebrate Valentine’s Day together.

Homecoming Week

Iowa State takes great pride in celebrating homecoming. Not just for a day but a whole week. This year our homecoming theme was “CyLightYear.” During this week, fraternities and sororities are paired to work together to win homecoming. This year, Alpha Phi was paired with the men of Alpha Tau Omega. The week starts with Yell Like Hell, which is a fun competition where sororities and fraternities take turns showing off the routines that they have worked so hard on for months. The five finalists presented their yells again at the Homecoming pep rally. Monday through Thursday, Iowa State hosts the semesterly Blood Drive in the Memorial Union. The blood drive is such a great and easy way to help others in need. One donation saves three lives. Throughout the entire week, sororities and fraternities work together to compete in different tournaments to earn points towards their team. The tournaments consist of volleyball, soccer, basketball, and treds. This year Alpha Phi and Alpha Tau Omega won first place in Homecoming overall, Yell Like Hell, and the volleyball tournament! Homecoming week also consists of the Blue Sky 5k, parade, and last but not least, the homecoming football game.
